Warm down

You know it would be really helpful if after a game, noone was allowed to post any drivel for an hour or so, but had that time to reflect on what they had witnessed.

It pisses me off that the same old same old people seem to enjoy us losing more than us winning as that gives them a chance to spout their usual 'I've only been watching football on telly for a year but I know everything' shite.

You know who they are.

Our team may be a little short on confidence - hardly any wonder when they know that half the crowd are just waiting for them to put one foot wrong so they can have a moan.

I honestly think most football fans really do not have an inkling of what the game is like at this (or any other) level, and if you read the other forum it's quite obvious. (And I'm the first to admit that I do not profess to know what the plan is, but if I knew then then the opponents would too, geddit?)

What was it Sean said? Fans blow hot and cold, but supporters support. Just give it a go instead of moaning.

Don't be mean bjw, he is practicing,....lol..

At the end of the day it is hard to pour a good cup of tea out of a broken teapot so to speak, we seem to have almost as many injured as fit at the moment..

It will come right.. As long as SOD still has the backing of the board and JR,  I would worry more about that than a largely injury bourne bad run.. And as was said the other day , that is unlikely...

He has never steered us wrong yet has he.

I think there's been an over-reaction lately in what some people have been saying after games, but the most frustrating thing for everyone (whether it be fans, supporters, players or even SO'D and RO'K) is that nobody seems to know exactly what the problem is with Doncaster Rovers at the moment.

Results and performances have been poor lately and everyone is disappointed. That is undeniable and fair enough. However, what has caused the recent rut and poor run? Is it simply bad luck in matches? Is it just one of those things (a bad run) that happens to every side over the course of the season? Is it something deeper? Is there uncertainty amongst the players or management with regard to the future - whether it be individual players themselves, or SO'D/RO'K? Is it down to an unsettled side, in which case do you then blame injuries? And if it's injuries, is it then just bad luck?

Whatever the case, after the Portsmouth game, once again, most Donny fans were left asking more questions than they had got answers at the final whistle.

FWIW, in my opinion I think SO'D has got it wrong tactically on a couple of occasions in recent weeks. Last Saturday against Pompey was one of those occasions. But for all the criticism he has come in for and all the ridiculous comments from some people such as he is past his sell-by date, is he trying to get himself sacked, etc, he isn't a bad manager. Look at his CV. It's outstanding and impressive to say the least. Fans who want him sacked are talking out of that hole in their body where brown stuff regularly comes from.

I have no doubt in my mind that eventually things will pick up, the whingers will hide away again and everything will be hunky dory on the pitch. Beating Ipswich tomorrow would be the ideal way to get back on track. If not, then the same questions will probably continue long into this week.

That's a pretty fair analysis actually.
