Worth a shot? I'm completely rumour mongering here, but he has already scored for Peterborough tonight, taking his tally to 27 in all competitions.  Scored 10 last season in the Championship, for a Peterborough side who ultimately got relegated.  10 goals would have seen him second on our list of top scorers after Billy.  Has scored 91 goals in all competitions in the last four seasons for the Posh.  If they don't go up, might he be worth a cheeky bid?

Posh will more than likely go up on current form and I doubt we would want to afford despite how good a player he is now.

Surely we have to attract these type of up and coming players before they become the finished article , so becoming out of our price range.

imho we need a second team more than a youth system, one to play young premier cast offs , promising local players plus signings as mentioned above. As much as the youth team sounds great , how many players of first team calibre has it produced since Greeny who left on a free all bit after ten years great service. Don't think you can count Fairhurst as he has never been a first eleven regular.

I am sure i have read or heard somewhere (possibly on sky) that the Norwich bid was around the 3 million mark so as much as he would suit us he is way out of our league!!
