If you explain the situation, I think you may have a case. If it's unallocated, or if you're near the back, then you should be able to stand anyway.

Hopefully they will understand your situation. I have my doubts though and they will probably think your taking the piss.

Idea mate - any way of proving you've got to stand (i.e. proof of the condition)? then they won't have much of a case against you :)

No mate. They could have a look at it and decide I suppose but I'm gonna get to my seat look for empty seat just before kick off.

Ah, shame :( another idea may be to ask someone on the end of a row if they're willing to let you sit (well stand, but you get me) there cos of your condition. Anyway mate, good luck with it and hope you have a great day tomorrow :)

When I had my ACL reconstruction I had to wear a knee brace and use crutches for 6 weeks.  I simply chose a seat next to an aisle and had my leg over in the aisle.

As long as you keep it tucked against the side of the seat in front it wont be a trip hazard and the Stewards wont bother you.

What did they do with your crutches? I know you carnt use them on stairs so they'd be no point using them in the stands I'm presuming.

One of the reasons for me having an aisle seat at the Keepmoat is so I can stretch my leg. Sitting with an artificial knee joint bent for 45 minutes is not fun.

I am surprised you didn't get arrested Rob. \"Getting your leg over in the aisle\"

And if any of you - especially the particular faceless internet warriors - who've either taken a dislike or a quiet admiration for me, want to say hello I'll be the large angry looking bloke with a shaved head, who probably won't be singing (owing to choice) but will be clapping. Feel free to pop along and introduce yourself. I'll be right at the front in the middle of the seating section and I will answer to \"Ben\". I\"m especially looking forward to some of the luminaries who've sworn at me over the season on here. Please, if that's you, make an extra special effort to seek me out.
Good luck everyone today.
