Just watched Obama's interview with Andrew Marr. He's let his guard drop. He's got a folk-singing lefty Londoner as a researcher/soundbite writer. At one point he was discussing how they deal with deprivation in Afghanistan and he said we need to be Talking with the Taleban about Poverty.

more rustic Dorset than the posh bit with the Rednapps et al.....although I wonder how he gets over his pacifist principles when meeting with the other trustees of the Tank Museum.... which is well worth a vist if you ever get down this way
