Please help save Rushden & Diamonds FC

To cut a long story short, my club Rushden and Diamonds needs to raise £250,000 in 2 weeks to save the club from going bankrupt.

You club's story is one to be proud of and it would be a sad day for the sport if you were  not to find a way through this . Let's hope Max can make a final gesture for you .

Thanks. We were going great as a club, on the verge of the play-offs in January and debt free, until the Beasants took over. Now we've tumbled down the league, and amassed 750k debt in 5 months.

Sounds like Anton Johnson at Southend and further down the line Scarborough FC; well run clubs, playing out of their skins in their respective divisions then he came in, distributed his debt over the clubs accounts - Southend lived to fight another day, the Seadogs now play in Brid with the McCain Stadium just an overgrown memory. To think, we pushed for AJ to buy us for £3.75million in 1998.

Done, donated £20. Good luck to you, i remember the days when I looked up to Rushden as a kind of \"Super-Team\" that I thought lowly Rovers would never get to better.......As Bob Dylan once crooned \"The times, they are a'changing\"  Indeed.

Crawley Town will be the next Rushden & Diamonds. As soon as they money man walks away, attendances will drop off and they'll be back to where they started within a couple of years, worse off than what they were before this money man took over.

At least Rushden & Diamonds will still have a team next season, albeit in the Southern League. That's more than can be said for Leigh RMI who went bust last week and won't be playing in any league next season.
