Just got back from the Bay ‘oss in Bentley. Me and my mate Harry were discussing the six wives of Henry the eight, and for the life of us could only think of a couple of them.

 Anne Boleyn was the obvious one, and then Harry came up with Jane Seymour, shortly followed by Myra Hindley. Well I had to laugh at his ignorance, and despite informing him that Jane Seymour was a seventies film actress, he was adamant that he was right!

What was Henry’s other wives called?

I promise to break the news to him gently!

That's even the correct order for you! Incidentally he is buried next to Jane Seymour as she is the only one who bore him a son.

Catherine of Aragon - After working the streets she married the 'would be king of middle earth'

Anne Boleyn - Settled in Barnsley, grew an extra finger and married Albert t**tlock.

Jane Seymour - As said, acting and a delightful Solitaire in Live and let Die.

Anne of Cleves - Left Cleves and settled in Stasia and became Anne of Stasia. Went for the lost Russian girl look, but eeked out a singing career.

Catherine Howard - Tried her hand in the strip clubs and got nowhere with her fried eggs chest. She eventually snared 'cool and hip with the kids comic', the bozz eyed Russell.
 
Catherine Parr - After failing to settle in Fishlake she moved to nearby Sykehouse and began a ravenous affair with the local songwriter. She continued her long lasting love of village life and helped pen 'St Elmo's Fire'

Didn’t Catherine of Argonon marry inventor Edward Wekanhire, the bloke who thought up the idea of creating a device for condensing air, later to become  Edward the compressor?

Ooooh close. She was actually courting the future King Ethelred. She eventually chucked him, as every bloody time she called for him he was always still only half dressed. So there began the tale of Ethelred The Unready..........not many people know this, but after Ethelred, she actually married Walter Pigeon

Wasn’t Ethelred a big mate of Egbert, who was a big mate of philosopher, statesman, scientist, lawyer, jurist and author Francis Bacon?
It was rumored that the three of them never actually went out for a meal together, because of Ethelred’s dislike of Egbert’s multi-talented pal, whom he thought was a big head.
When Ethelred dined out it was always with Egbert, no Bacon.
