Any Plasterers?
« on August 24, 2011, 04:17:59 pm by Filo »
I`ve got some plaster that looks like it`s coming away from a lath wall, I`m going to try a bodge job because I`m wallpapering over it, but if that does n`t work whats the likely cost, the total wall area is about 8ft x 8ft

A decent tradesman will charge a day rate averaging about £100. Try using gypsum easyfill if your doing it yourself. You mix it with water and it's a cross between plaster and filler and is easy to sand down. You can find it on the plaster isle at b&q.I'm a joiner by trade but If you need a plasterer I know a couple of good ones.

Sheffield Rover is spot on, shouldn't cost you more than £80 really.  I wouldn't pay more than that for it (and that's my job).

Thanks for the replies, it looks like i`ve got away with it, with filler building it up a bit at a time and now i`ve sanded it down smooth, get the wall paper on and you won`t be able to tell
