There's more skeletons in your cupboard than that. I've just read a post about how you get a kick out of photographing trannies.

I could have done it for about £15. Why people go to PC World I never know. Absolute rip off.

Excuse me?
You've been had. Plain and simple. Data recovery is a piece of piss.

And hindsight is 20/20 Tyrone! Notice how you make these bold statements after the event?

I only saw the thread when I posted.
We recovered data for someone about 2 weeks ago, at a cost of £20.

Pretty much expected that to be the case, and fair comment, but if you'd have started your first post along the lines \"If I'd have known earlier I could have done it a lot cheaper\" I probably would have given you a sarcastic answer.  Thanks for your concern anyway!!!!

Point taken. PC World rile me though. I know someone who was charged £200 to re-install Vista.

In MY defence, can I just say I offered my advice purely on the fact that I know they offer this service. I knew it would cost a few bob but I didn't know how much exactly.

Sorry if you got ripped off Savvy, just trying to help.

Mr Frost...I think your techincal history preceeds you

PC World...bit of a name contradiction isn't it.... PC services charged at non-PC prices

Mark, the thought never entered my head me old mucker! I was grateful that you pointed me in the direction of someone who could help.  The cost at the end of the day I've got to have it recovered because like I say it the tools of the trade and the money is a bit of a secondary issue!
