Handball when Billy was offside
« on September 28, 2011, 07:28:37 am by bobjimwilly »
Did anyone see the blatant handball, that might have even been in the penalty box, just after half time? Rosenior picked the ball up when he saw the linesman put his flag up for Sharp being offside, before the ref blew his whistle and signalled for it! Never seen anything like it before. It was like the ref was daydreaming or something, and just didn't blow for it or even signal for it, yet the defender got away with it!

Saw that but thought at the time that the ref must have already blown up?

To be fair, saw Parkin do the same before the ref blew for a foul on him too!

Didn't rate the officials last night to be fair - too easy to blow up for a foul anytime anybody fell over in Parkin's vague area. From where we were his booking came from the other guy (Dudgeon I think but may be wrong) clattering him - again and coming off worst - again!

Also there was one in the peno area where a foul was given against Big John when the defender on the end of that had been clobbered by his own goalie - crazy!

Copps took some hammer second-half too and got nothing!

Still, as ever these kind of things even themselves out over the course of a season.

I think Parkin had pushed the kid into the keeper on that occasion.  However, I do think he gets none of the 50/50 shouts, and seemed to take a right clattering at times without too much complaint.  He has certainly perfected the \"gallic shrug\", so some of our potential new signings should feel at home around him! ;-)
