It must have been a poor camera angle because it definitely didn't go over the line.

Definitely looks it from that angle, though I was pretty close to it at the time and didn't think it had then.

Also from that clip, did Stock's strike take a slight deflection?

Would have been a good game to show as the featured match, plenty of action, but chance of that...

It's very difficult to slow down the FLS clip, but it looked to me that it bounced down off the bar in front of the post, therefore not over the line. I'm willing to be corrected though.

Seeing it at the game it didn't even look close, look like it bounced down in front of the goalline. As for Stock, that was straight and true, no way a deflection helped it in.

Try it with the highlights from the official site, easier to get a freezeframe because they show a slow mo of the goal....here's a screenshot that I took. You can't see the ball in the shot....because it's behind the near post by about a foot.

I watched it a few times and thought it bounced in front of the post but freeze framing shows it bounced over the line.

Impossible for the human eye to see it in real time so no problem with it not being given.

To be fair were a few years away from being attractive to the casual fans who have just finished watching MOTD. I work in Manchester and loads of my workmates still ask what league we are in. The clued up ones know but the average football fans who just watch their prem team are not all aware.

This is in response to Stan btw.

Partly right. One of the Germans walked up to him and asked, and he replied \"Stalingrad\".
