Stock - couldn't make a pass
Oster - didn't want it
Copps - average and outplayed
Gillett - isn't that good anyway

No purpose about them, I loved Donny's old fluid style but maybe with this midfild we're better off lumping it forward?

Mackay got any 'great engine' midfielders on his books?

i think another problem under sod was the poor defending at set pieces which yet again we have seen tonight , however at this has now happened under saunders watch and he can now work on improving this frailty. the man must be given time calling for his head after 4 games in which we have won 2 ,drawn 1 and lost 1 (not in a good manner i may add)is outragous . his firstt test starts now as he tries to get us ready for tues night.

Tonights game was won and lost in midfield, DRFC players were not up to it, Leeds players were. Simple fact is they were fitter and more comitted. DRFC have been for some considerable time lightweight in the midfield, hence the reason Sean generally had 5 in there.

No sense blaming Parkin or Sharp, or Ilunga ( who i thought did well ), Friend was mostly ok, O'connor was a bit of a fish out of water.

Midfield were simply atrocious.

That would probably have been Seans line up tonight ( less The 2 Debutants ), so i dont think the style would have been so different, and hence the result.

Its a harsh reality check for most fans, but we have to live with it

Said ages ago that if you replace Sean then you'd have to replace most of the players as most simply aren't up to this level unless they're in a Sean-type side.

I think that's becoming more obvious as games go by, we've been lucky so far, but tonight showed some are league1 at best.
