Manchester United - an unprecedented Quintuple ?

OK I am not their biggest fan - I think everyone will know that

So when they were winning nearly everything they "upped" the Double to a Treble then "upped" that to call their Trophy haul an unprecedented Quadruple - League FA Cup Carling Cup and of course Champions League 

My question is a serious one :

Have they actually landed an unprecedented Quintuple ? In other words has any Team from England ever been in but NOT won the 4 Trophies above AND the Europa Cup in the very same season

Man City won the League but none of the other 4 so that spared them "the Quintuple" and I cant think of anyone else.

If no other Team has done this someone should tell the Club asap
