I can see how it could happen, perhaps it is the downside of being an 'important' person with plenty of hangers on.... Although to be honest if that is the quality of minders he hires then I wouldn't think much to his general security..
Being Prime minister doesn't make him less human than anyone else, it does however mean more danger for his children from the threat of kidnapping, so if only for that reason I would have to say stupid fool..He should have been twice as vigilant than an ordinary pub goer.

However, I have to say, it isn't something I have ever done either..

I've done it loads of times. It's easy done if you've gone to the pub and had an all dayer and nighter. My kids soon learned to harden up and find their own way home.
