Maybe being due to long negotiations or something

but he was correct on the trialist so i believe some of this may be true

hopefully now Friend and Stock are on their way out we can sign some players or even offer some loan players wages to come and play for us

1GK, 2CH's and a striker short, if Stock goes then another centre mid short.

I think you're underestimating just how much we are lacking!

No, that's a minimum. Can't see us signing much more than that, maybe one more defender but given the finances it would take Copps, M.Woods, JOC and Martis to leave to be able to bring in the amount required.

So tomorrow approx 2 weeks later he`ll pass the medical? We need some of the miracle cure he`s been using!

Just because he may have failed a medical doesn't mean a deal won't be done. The signing club will be signing the player "at risk" and this will affect the transfer fee and the contract (they may go for a one-year deal with an option, or a lower basic wage with bonuses based on appearances).

In fact, that could explain why it has taken two weeks to hammer out a deal after the initial posting that he was on his way.

Anyway, medicals are not infallible. Demba Ba failed a medical at Stoke, took a short-term move to West Ham and then signed for Newcastle. In the past 18 months he's missed very few games due to injury.

Aye - Shelton Martis and Steve Brooker both passed one!

Have you seen Mrs Stock? I`d be asking him why he`s partaking in that particular pastime?

Steve Brooker did NOT pass a medical, which is why we signed him on a pay-as-you-play deal. There's no way he would have passed any medical when you read about the state his knee was in after the poor treatment he had from a physio.

As for Martis, he did pass one, but his problem is muscle/ soft tissue injuries which are unlikely to be picked up by a medical. As Stock's problems have been with his back and ankle joint, these would flag up on a medical.

As with Friend, it will be interesting to see if Stocky features in tonight's game. Could give us a clue as to whether any moves are in the offing.

Friend has had his medical an passed and agreed terms 2 days ago. Should all be completed on Monday. And stocks move has broken down due to money reasons.

Well since Stocky himself told me 2 weeks ago that he's agreed terms with them the financial reason can only be that the offer to the club is not acceptable.

Surely Rovers would agree a fee before letting him speak to another club?

So your mate was wrong when he said he was definitely going then?
