DRFC website
« on July 27, 2012, 12:11:51 pm by uptonson »
Why has the club changed to this new website.  It is useless and there is no usful information on it.  Any club news has to be found on here, posted by somebody who has bothered to find out news from another source. :crying:

Im not keen but we have to move with the times!

give them chance to get it all up to date then who knows the info side may improve!

its like a new manager you have to give em time to build their own team/site!

Know what you are sying but when has there been any news on the new site about players in, out.  The old site gave you more info in a day than we have had in months on this new one.

It could have something to do with it being out of season the last few months. They have only been back a fortnight and every movement in and out has been reported as it has happened.
Rumours get reported on here but they are not facts and until they are they will not be on DROS.

I can't abide it - but it's not about us.................... it's all about the advertising rights.  Hence it's not user friendly, quick or easy to navigate through - it wants you to spend as long as possible trying to get the information - that's also why there are multiple pages for relatively short articles...........

Over here in the States, I would go on the old site at least twice a day, now, on the new site I have been twice. What I also dislike is that you were able to have player as a separate favourite, now it takes you to the official site first, hence not looked at player either.

I am sorry, but this new site is a disgrace   in comparison to the old one. I am not computer savvy and just want up to date information, I don't want to trawl through loads of things I don't want to get to that which I do want.

You can find info there but its too intricate and I doubt will improve significantly due to the way its set up.

eg looking for news. It gives about 4 items under the heading "keepmoat". You then have this drop down box with about 20 different options, including "all news" which surely should have been the default option. And then there's just 4 items. To get a view of more items its such a piss about.

I want to be able to come straight onto the site with no intro box faff. Then straight away see a nice simple list of links to the last 20 or more news items without having to click anything. A link to "next 20 items" should be there. Also, refining the category of news items would be nice as a further option, but the default set to "keepmoat" (whatever that is) is ridiculous.

There should be a link to Player - one click, and it sould be bookmarkable to go directly there.

I'm sure the content will flesh out and be updated over time but as its set up now it will never work. Too many big boxes, intricate mouseover links, and not set up for the fan. Its commercialised, nerdy, unfriendly, not useful, and no doubt cost a fortune to set up.

One of the worst sites, if not THE worst site I have come across.

The template has potential, just look at what Barnsley has done. It looks much better than ours and I love the form section and players profiles on the home page. Whereas ours has a poll but you can only predict mid-table or higher
