Christ that would certainly be the end of the SOD dynasty if those 3 were to go.

Pound for Pound I would obviously love to keep Copps out of that 3.

Jimmy was watching from the media area last night.

Right now id not want to lose Husband, Spurr or Bennett. Specifically.

Stock and JOC wouldn't be major bad news but Copps going with this pair would be harsh.

Can we agree Stocky and JOC and make the third player a retiring Sulli ?

Agree with this, Sullivan, JOC and Stock going would probably be best case scenario. Just can't see anyone coming in for Sulli with the wages he's on, also think we may struggle to get rid of Stock.

This would be perfect scenario. Get rid of three high earners and bring in some defensive quality.

Not sure on the trialists, I think they will be signed after the PSF's.

Good point, but I can see Quinn being signed (if he's gonna be) before the others simply because he's a defender and he's decent.

Would love to see Ashton in, can't see it but that would be very nice.

Do we know if the "3 out, 2 in" this week includes Friend and Jones?

Anyway, disappointing if true. After Saunders said this week was an end to dismantling and a start to rebuilding it's disappointing to be faced with losing basically three of our best players, when the rumoured replacements like Quinn and Harper don't seem as good. If we were signing 4-5 players instead then that'd be different but as far as like-for-like replacements go it makes us look weaker in my opinion.

Not slating anyone based on speculation, but I'm hoping this story isn't true, anyway.

Can we not negotiate with some of the high earners who we don't want (i.e. Martis) to try and get them off of our books before their contracts expire?

It would make a lot of sense and save us money in the long term.

We'd be paying off their contract so no, we wouldn't be saving much at all.

Surely that's where "mutual consent" bit comes in. We pay a percentage of their remaining wages and advise them it is the best thing if they go and find another club to play for. Then if they find one before their contract here would have been up, they could actually earn more money than they would have done by seeing out their contract with us.

We need to get liabilities like Martis off our books somehow.

Martis may have injuries but he doesn't choose to have them. Imagine if you got ill what you'd do if your employer tried to force you out. He's also dedicated he's been at all our friendlies including Bradford park avenue. Even when injured he's still there home and away.

If I'd have had a sickness record like his and I was working less than I was off sick I would either be eventually fired due to being a continuous sickness repeater, or be taken down the Incapability route.

Most companies do the same, why shouldn't footballers too?!?

Football is a trade where getting injured while doing your job is unavoidable , so slightly unfair to compare to many other types of employment.   :)

Does anybody know what is wrong with Martis this time?

We used to get injury updates, but I havent seen any news on his injury or when he will be fit for selection.

Any inside info?
