Sorry if this has already been mentioned but how good was that lad yesterday. Did all the dirty jobs and we have missed someone like him IMO.  :scarf:

reminds me a little of Greeny, and we've been saying for years we've missed that kind of lad

Yes and much much better than Gillet.

How wonderful it was for someone who ran about the pitch and reserved his energy for later use.

He's quickly going to become a favourite and as you say in the Greeny mould except I think this guy will score more goals.

Great shout on the Greeny comparison. It's early days but it does seem like he can do a job for us that we've been lacking for years, hopefully this lets Woods get forward and be a bit more creative.

He definately looks the part. Not sure if you've noticed, but when Cotts scored it was Syers who initially won the ball, laid it off and was then bursting foward. I'm sure this played a part in giving Cotts the time and space to get his head up and pick his spot. Let's hope we can keep this going - like it or not, the reality is that winning is what'll increase attendances!!

Very early days, but I think we have the makings of a very good team at this level (and possibly the lower end of the Championship) and will surprise a few people.

and if you watch Greeny with his new teams, he is always among the first to celebrate his team mates' goals l... just as Syers does. A natural  for fans' favourite.

Really impressed with this lad, will be become a favourite & a key player this season I reckon. He likes to get forward, not frightened to put a foot in, & puts his body in the way in defence, as he did on Saturday.

He is known as 'The Professor' by the guys who sit near me on account of him having a degree in Classics from Leeds Uni.
