Watch any video and you'll see him lining up with players in his grey tracky top and going up to collect his medal.

He was there, but not as a sub. Our team that day was..

Sullivan, O'Connor, Mills, Hird, Gareth Roberts, Green, Stock, Wellens (McCammon 71), Coppinger (Guy 86), Price (Lockwood 80), Hayter.
Subs Not Used: Smith, Taylor.

Yes but if we were under budget with copps as we were told, does this now mean we can bring a few in and not just Copps replacement?

If he was on say 4/5k a week which is approx 240k a year should be able to give us more leeway to getting players in

You are way out mate.

Werent sure like mate

We shouldnt be paying players wages that much anyway championship or not

So.......lets play out a differing scenario. JC does join Forest ON LOAN. DS brings in 3 players ( unnamed at present ), which together take 2/3 of what would be JC wage ( assuming DRFC pay 1/3 ). Plus there is a bit of a "Loan Fee" coming from Forest.

JC is crocked in first month, long term. Has to return to parent club. Parent club then pick up salary in total. meaning DRFC are out of pocket big time.

WHY a loan ?.

Too risky for DRFC i would have thought.

That isn't actually what it says, it says we've made an agreement with Forest.

The way Saunders is worded there suggests to me that he will sign replacements 'when he can' i.e. next week on loan. Hopefully I read that wrong.

If they agree a loan deal - surely they are committed to paying his wages for that time

It does say "can join Forest" does not mean he has - he could say no

No need to panic lads. Deano knows what he's doing. He's got a game to prepare for tomorrow.

He's already hinted that players are lined up which means they are likely to be free agents or loans so no need to sign them today.

Relax.

Don't see why a loan is a good deal for Rovers. Forest may offer him a permanent contract in Jan, they may not or he could get injured resulting in an early return. Even assuming Forest are paying all is wages, we may have to keep some funds as a contingency, rather than using it all on new players.
