Not good enough for the premiership anyway

Thats why no one ever signed him from prem when with us

Top championship player but would always be bottom 5 material in prem if that

Another Jay Bothroyd, puts em away in Championship but not good enough for top flight

And how do you know, when he's never played in it?

Would you have said Grant Holt was good enough this time last year? Or Danny Graham? The least he deserves is a chance.

Buying Jay Rodriguez

And they were unknown to the top flight when they came up

They wont do as well as the last campaign as they will be relatively known now to other teams

Well Danny Graham already has 1 goal from 2 games this season.

And yes, they've bought Jay Rodriguez... your point being?

Little old Donny get £600,000 for Sharp but looks like Forest are going to pay 2.5 - 3.5 million to big club Southampton why ?

Well at the time it was said on radio Sheff pluss other media he had a 1.8 mill clause in his contract. It was over 3 mill before Jan the 1st. Makes you wonder if Billy and his agent told saints to hold on until Jan and they got a bigger signing on fee.

He's signed on loan. Bugger hoped we would get a sell on.

Southampton only signed him as an insurance policy in case Lambert got injured, many on here said that at the time

That is just pointless. Not sure who to be more annoyed at with this.

Was happy for him in January when he went, he was going to get his dream of playing in the Premier League now he's back in the Championship. f**k sake Southampton. Bit annoyed with Billy too for not staying there and fighting for his place.

Someone has hit upon a good point here - did we have a sell on clause for Billy?

Given he went for absolute peanuts it would be good to get something more out of one of the worst transfers (timing, amount) in recent Rovers history.

"Either way are Gillett coppinger and sharp gonna get forest promoted? sharp maybe but not the other two."

To be fair until injuries kicked in they were part of our team that looked like they may threaten!

Altho to be honest - I don't really care - I'm more interested in what Hume might do for us rather than what Sharp, Copps and Gillett might do for SO'D and the florists!

They may not get them promoted but they are far better than anything we have at the club now. You have very short memories.

Said all along he's not good enough for PL and this proves it. Didn't take long for Southampton to work that out.

Yes I remember last season and the one before. Remember where we finished the two seasons in the summer after we bought those two permanently.

How does it? He's played half an hour, if that of Premier League football. He's not going to prove anything if he's not being played. He's not even had a chance.
