Patience now required!

You have to say that between Dean and Gavin they've negotiated the minefield of rebuilding the squad in incredible fashion. Players have all left and been replaced by, in a lot of cases, equal quality and at a cost saving of millions.

Now we need to let Dean work more magic with his squad and turn us into genuine promotion candidates. A big thumbs up to both of them.

Any news on what we should expect for further incomings?

Loan deals? Free agents? Or any chance of anything happening before tonight's deadline?

I'm not too worried about getting anyone in for tomorrow's game now. Hume probably fills the gap that Coppinger  relatively well!

I just think we're lacking any sort of replacement for any injured/tired players, can see that killing us.

Personally, I don't expect anything else to happen tonight.

DS has said he's focusing on tomorrow game, we don't have a major lack in the squad that requires a rush move before tomorrow game, I think we're done for this transfer window.

From picking up the points about the state of the squad and finances at the end of last season, I am very happy with how it's all going at the moment.

I doubt it. But you never know.

We've had a good start to the season and we've managed to get rid of a distinctly average player who for some reason is thought of as the second coming in Coppinger.

It is better than I expected. I'm quite happy.

for christ sake get of coppingers back , yes hes inconsistent buts that reason we've had him for so many years but for all that hes gave us great moments and played a big part in our rise and set 2 goals up against hull which arguably won us the game.

a postive post from alan would be a first

The worry is if Cotterill was to come off injured tomorrow who do we have out wide to replace him?

I disagree. Our squad is paper thin and have no cover for a lot of positions, especially in defense. If we get no one in before the deadline, are we to expect our current squad is enough in numbers and quality to get us through to the next transfer window once injuries and suspensions kick in?

What are you disagreeing to exactly? That they haven't done a good job?

So what size squad are you expecting?

Disagreeing with the comment that we don't lack in the squad.
While the first 11, and 2 or 3 subs we can put out a really strong first team, we simply have no strength in depth.

A defender who can play rb and cb is needed imo. We are desperate for 2 at least. There is no one pushing the players for there place. Most know they are playing every week and thats what bothers me. Still can't moan at what we have signed though.

Yes a minor miracle has been achieved , but it is still not build up the numbers in the squad to see us through any sendings off , long term injuries or loss of form . So it's a 6/10 from me . Money was the main reason for the changes and I support that , but the drip drip drop of mix messages coming from the club has ment that we the PAYING public are left not knowing who or what we ate supporting. I hated last season and now this our fresh start I hope we are not keeping things too tight where money is concerned as we find it's our Manager who looks for a move .

It will be a hard game tomorrow and without the quality of Copps it could be that a point is a good result.

It's just frustrating that we've left it late and now lack bodies.

We'll be ok.  I'm gutted Copps has gone but its probably best all round, for him AND the club.

I think we're done tonight in the transfer market.  Lets focus on tomorrow and then hit the loan market.  Like we've heard before, Copps wages are the equivilent of another 2-3 players.

Trust DS, hes done a good job this summer  :scarf:
