Lets face it. It doesn't take much to upstage Dave does it?
Even a plonker as big and mad as Boris can up stage him. Maybe he is missing his chum Nick the numpty.

Boris will never be Prime Minister, he needs to be elected Leader of the Conservatives first and lets face it, that isn't going to happen.

A complete plank. If I had wanted Peter Kay to be Prime Minister I would have voted for him. Lets swap one out of touch Old Etonian errrr for another. Absolute clown.

I think he will be Prime Minister in about 2020. Labour will win the next election but Ed Milliband will then be defeated by Boris the following election. I think he could easily be elected as leader of the Conservative party. He is very popular in London. By the way I am not a Conservative but just how I see it.

He isn't that popular in London really - he only managed to beat Ken Livingstone by 51.5% to 48.5%.

It would have been nice to have the chance to see Bungling Boris and Daft Dave over here, however the TV companies did not find it intersting enough. The only coverage was for the spat between Pistorious and the Brazillian lad over blade size ( because the former was in the main Olympics) and toay, 90 seconds which encapsulated 11 days, including a story about Alex Sinardi, the Italian Formula One race driver.

Apparently it's not good for the American people to see  others with handicaps, or is it that they didn't expect to win all that many medals. Either way for people over here we only caght up on Sky Sports News if we pay for Fox Soccer Channel.

I saw a bit today on Sky Sports news about the London parade which was for both stes of Olympians, what a fantastic sight. Yes I may live over here, and enjoy doing so, but you have to hand it to the Brits to get things right.

That lot'll vote for anything as leader if they think it's the best choice to help them keep their seats.

If your question is, which of the rough oik sports clubs does Boris support, I think you will find he was 'excused games', knows nothing whatsoever about things which ordinary people do & was only at the Olympics for the photo opportunity. So the answer will be 'whoever is fashionable and he is told to at the time', so probably Chelsea.

I think that is a quite possible scenario. My own theory is that we'll have another coalition after 2015, this time Labour-Lib Dem, which will also fail to address the country's problems.

Although some of the talk about stalking horses and Boris replacing Cameron before the next election is clearly nonsense, Cameron looks very much like a one-term PM to me. Then you look at the leading Tories and it is difficult to see another credible leader- the very fact that Jeremy Hunt was mentioned as a possible successor to Cameron says it all.

The thing about Boris Johnson is- although he's a decent speaker and despite his Old Etonian background has a common touch that Cameron lacks- it isn't very clear what he stands for. He's also liable to make gaffes- like his one about Liverpool when he was in the Shadow Cabinet- that could cost him big time in a General Election.

And of course we shouldn't forget that he probably wouldn't be Mayor of London now if Labour hadn't been stupid enough to run that old dinosaur Livingstone against him again!

The congestion charge being introduced and more importantly extended cost Livingstone that election IMO. All Johnson had to do was bring it back to original size and he was onto a winner which is exactly what he did.

Well that plainly isn't true. The elections of Ian Duncan Smith and Michael Howard tell you that. Conservatives, for their rights and wrongs, tend to be a bit higher principled by their nature than that. Look at how they were on Europe for example. They drove themselves into the ground about Europe, and couldn't have cared a bit.

Boris is an utter buffoon, if he gets elected PM we will have well and truly gone down the American road and may as well elect a President. I admit though that no party has a dynamic leader and all are floundering in respect to solving our monetary problems but this will always be the case whilst they blame one another and don't listen to expert advice

I know people can become celebrities on the back of being complete idiots, but it's frankly worrying that you can become an elected MP for the same reasons.

There aren't many of integrity in either house.  However, even though I never liked Robin Cook beforehand, I had nothing but admiration for the guy resigning over Iraq, top man.  There's also Dennis Skinner who once stood in the commons and proclaimed that 'half of the people in the house are liars'.  Following a reprimand from the speaker, he stood again, offered his apologies and stated, 'Mr Speaker, half of teh people in this house are not liars'.  Love him.

Boris for PM?  F**k off!

The congestion charge and finally admitting in the Evening Standard (if I remember rightly) that Traffic Lights had been adjusted to make it look as if the congestion charge was working i.e Holding traffic up in the suburbs to make it appear that the centre was running better....basically move the traffic jam to the suburbs

Boris is an intelligent idiot who I don't think has a chance of making PM. It amazed me that he was elected the first time as Mayor as he never answered a direct question put to him, mainly because he never knew the answer.

A gibbering Etonian idiot.

Bet there is nobody can name a single policy the prat has ever come up with - and don't mention the bikes as they were all Livingstone. He is a bumbling fool who has got this far in life without a single piece of original though and a lot of bluster. Wazak.

I believe you will find that history tells us that those are actually the perfect credentials for becoming PM.

It's downright bloody scary that even a single person thinks this man is fit to be an MP - never mind our PM. Yes. he does have the common touch. Yes. he does raise a few laughs. Yes. He does look comical too. But is that the sum of the qualities needed these days? God in heaven above......

I'd have the Beast of Bolsover over him anyday.
