I want to place a 40p per stake Goliath.

My selections are:

Brentford 2.1

Swindon 1.9

Crewe 1.83

Doncaster 1.8

MK Dons 1.5

Stevenage 1.72

Preston 2.3

Sheff U 2.2

For those of you that don't know what a Goliath is, it is taking 8 selections and making the individual bet (in this case 40p) on each of the 28 doubles, the 56 trebles, 70 4-folds, 56 5-folds, 28 6-folds, 8 7 folds and the one 8 fold accumulator. So 1+8+28+56+70+56+28 = 247 different bets at 40p each = £98.8.

The good thing about them is that you only need 2 of your selections to win to get a payout, although it would be quite small unless you get 7 or 8 results right which give you a large payout.

For example if all of those results are correct the total return would be 2,039.61. However lets say MK Dons drew but all the rest won I would still collect 812.52, which still isn't bad for a load of 40p bets.

So I'll have 60p each on:

Walsall 2.1

Yeovil 2.0

20 quid notts county vs tranmere DRAW 3.2

Just a side point and its irrelevant really but ladbrokes are by far the worst bookies for football prices

BRR, that's incorrect. I had a goliath so you need to work out the doubles, trebles, 4 folds 5 folds and the 6 fold from my 8 selections, its 247 bets in total with 40p on each, plus my 60p on Yeovil.
I work it out as £252.51

Some good predictions on there, I'm joining next week although this league is difficult to predict as I found to my cost today.

I had 6 results in trebles, 4 folds, 5folds and an accumulator. 25p costs £10.50 today. Got 4 correct, Rovers. Forest, Bristol Rovers and York(Draw). Palace(Draw) and Wallsall (Draw) let me down, the latter courtesy of a 94th min strike.  Got £25 back but would have been £140 had it finished 1-1.  Apparently Baxendale let a runner go... well he knows Copps and Wilson... hang on. ;)
