Thought he was okay other than the incredibly soft penalty award and the witch hunt against Shelton Martis.

I listened to BBC Tees today and they interviewed the Pools manager (Cooper) - his comment was that the referee was very brave in giving the penalty as that type of thing goes on all the time........

After watching it back on TV, it technically is the right decision - however we probably should have had 5 penalties and they probably should of had a similar amount - consistency is key.

I also found it unacceptable how the ref targetted Martis in the second half, he looked to pull him up at every opportunity and as I said on another thread, if Saunders hadn't taken him off, the ref would have sent him off for whatever reason he could get away with.

Its interesting how the Poolies thought the ref was great:-
