I've had a dream
« on November 22, 2012, 10:44:00 am by Bentley Bullet »
Dead vivid it was. I was playing Football Manager when I was offered the Scunthorpe United manager's job.
I knew they had a poor squad and had little prospect for the future, so declining the offer I put the phone down and got back to playing Football Manager.

It was match day so I was waiting for my lift to arrive for the game, ironically against Scunthorpe! Soon we were at the Keepmoat. It was freezing cold so we decided to get as close to the stadium as possible, squeezing into a tight space in the invalid section, next to Shelton Martis' spot.

The atmosphere was more lively than usual, probably due to it being a derby game. Rovers started where they left off at Carlisle with a HUME goal after 10 mins.

HUME made it 2-0 after 40 mins.

HT; Rovers 2 Scunny 0

Three minutes into the second half, Rovers made it 3-0 with a PAYNTER header.

Rovers took their foot off the peddle and Scunthorpe came more into the game, pulling a goal back after 67 minutes.

The game continued with few chances at either end, and the result was a routine victory for Donny.

Rovers 3 Scunny 1

Here's hoping that's true. Another potential banana skin tomorrow - Deano says our patchy home form is coincidence due to key players being injured for our home games, and I think he's earned the benefit of the doubt so far. No such excuses on Saturday however, I expect a better performance in a local derby, always a good game against Scunny, hopefully we can create a bit more and get a few goals.

The way we have generally been creating chances, someone is in for a real tousing, might as well be Laws and his lads.
