Anyone know if we're on commentary tonight? Either FM or DAB?

Why is it when Mark the Rover rings up, he's always on a terrible line and doing something else? No wonder they never have any of us on the show!

I'm sure they said on FH last night that we were one of the commentary games.

We're kicking off 15 minutes earlier than United so they are doing commentary on ours until Blades kick off. Why can't they just put it on DAB?

Well at least Sheffield will be able to listen in, us in Donny will have to settle for Roversplayer, if it works

One day just one f**king day the pillocks at Radio Deedar will grasp the fact that very few folk in Donny can get any reception on AM.

I`ve told em countless times that in an evening BBC Asian Network stamps all over the AM frequency, they don`t listen and don`t care!

That's because they don't give a toss about us unless it's to be disparaging.

Apologies. Heard them say it was in AM and I assumed it was also on DAB. That's usually the way it goes.

Then they'll just stop putting us on every week?  :headbang:

You don't tell them that you're going to! What it needs is for someone to ring up about the day's match then after talking about it for a while, out of the blue ask the presenter why they always say there's no bias in the allocation of commentary matches and their frequencies when Mike Woodcock, the station's Assistant Editor (and presumably their boss) says something completely different..? And read out his e-mail that he sent to Filo...

http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=235931.0

Perhaps once and for all we'll get the presenters to acknowledge the bias and stop fobbing us off with BS...

The presenters will never acknowledge it. And can you blame them? I doubt my boss would like me slagging him off to an audience of thousands of people. Admittedly it's not quite the same thing but the BBC as a corporation is supposed to be totally impartial, which they can never be because they have to cater to audience demand. Trying to catch them out on that fact isn't going to stop them doing it.

And it's not like you're gonna outsmart the presenters either, they're clever blokes who are exceptional at thinking on their feet and have to be eloquent, due to the nature of the job. And if that fails they'll try and steer you off topic ("look, let's talk about Rovers"), and if you don't go with them, they'll cut you off. They hold all the cards here.

We've just got to face it, we're not gonna get anything like the coverage we want unless we do a Swansea and establish ourselves in the Premiership.

And as there is a 15 to 20 second delay between what you say and it being aired they can just kill it anyway.  On a seperate note when will they get Rovers Player sorted?  Am sick of having to listen to commentary from the home teams clubs.  That said a lot seem to just use the local radio stations commentary so we cant be too bad

I felt that too but he's far too good for them anyway. He hasn't had the money to spend and that squad is far too weak to survive against the other teams in that Division.
I rate the fella but not the club or the fans.

I have heard all the moaners on Praise or Grumble so many times I can repeat the reasons back why he should go! Brought in loads of players who not good enough...get in Di Canio....should never have let Megson go....grumble grumble grumble

How did Wednesday lose that? six minutes left!!,did anybody notice how much time Rotherham got added on?twelve minutes!!,what was that for Steve Evans doing his make-up!!,on all Yorkshire teams i'd prefer if more of our sides were in the top two divisions together,it makes things more interesting!! :scarf:

And Rotherham stay in League Two for eternity
