Wouldn't be surprised to see a change in the middle tomorrow as Mr Bates pulled up injured in his game on NYD.

To answer my own question, Richard Clark (who did the Shrewsbury game to general satisfaction) has the whistle tomorrow.

I thought he was Ok, though not as impressive as he was in the Shrewsbury game. He didn't really get to grips with Colchester's obvious timewasting in the second half and I've docked him a point for his failure to produce an obvious red at the end for the foul on Tommy. Still did a much better job than Tuesday's ref, though.

Let the game flow in first half (don't think there was any stoppages at end of first was there!??)

... Would have been a 4 from me had it not been for not producing a red card.

Competent display. This ref would not have sent Paynter off or given a penalty for the theatrical dive by the Sheff U player. possibly too lenient at times but ok

On the team sheets given out in the Premier lounge it had Mr Bates as the ref. I would have presumed these would have been up to date.
I guess one should never presume. He did look like Bates though.

It's too bad when the teamsheets don't have the correct info on them. Though oddly enough in the game at Colchester the teamsheet showed the name of the wrong referee. They showed Gary Sutton (who had done the previous home game at Colchester) and not the actual official, David Phillips.
