465 at PNE today

Should have been one more, I had bought a ticket but couldn't make it due to unforseen circumstances.
Bit surprised by that number, saw a photo of the support and looked to be more than that.

Our away support isn't a patch on what it used to be in terms of numbers. It's an expensive habit nowadays to travel all over the country, and for most, it can't be justified.

It did for me today. I couldn't get done in time for 10:30 bus and the thought of around £50 petrol to go solo didnt fill me with joy.

Well I was listening on the radio and if there was only 465 then they made enough noise for twice that. Sounded great, the only time the Preston fans made noise was ironic cheering and whistles whenever they had a shot, I was rolling about laughing.

considering the cost of the entrance and travel it is just asking too much for fans to travel all around the country in a recession . We done all those make the effort they have had the best of the season so far.

that stands holds 5000 roughly, our allocated seats of 1062, there was about 70% of them filled. now my maths isnt great but to me thats over 465

Made some decent noise at times too. Suppose an early goal helps.

When we rang ticket office they said they had returned 400 from (I think she said) 1000 or 1100.

We bought 4 at Preston and lots round us buying.

On that evidence and being there today, I would say nearer 800 there

Strange one this one because I overheard a conversation at Oldham between 2 stewards discussing our support there basically they were surprised that we took over 1000 to them and the figure quoted was only 800+. What surprised me was their wasn't a  ticket given to POD'ers at Oldham

Funny that I was thinking only the other day just how well it was holding up Frosty and becoming more vociferous. I think that has spurred the lads on to great victories.
P.S were you born this negative or have you had to work on it...........you've got it down to a fine art anyway

Christ cant beileve im agreeing twice with frosty left it while today so it wasnt in the same year,but our away support has dipped in years gone by we would of took over a 1000 to both oldham and preston where we are in the league whether thats the pricing of the games i dont know cos the price for those 2 wasnt that bad
