Strange that, according to the CEO at Barnsley they are not starting interviews until next week.

Well I know Brown has applied, and so has Davies.

But it all comes down to money, they don't pay their managers a lot, in fact I was surprised how little they do pay, so I doubt the two above would bother.

Aye, it's costly to put petrol in Phil Brown's Ferrari.

Remind me to tell you why Kevin Blackwell ended up getting the Bury job by the way  ;)

Davies, as in Billy Davies?

He'll be having his usual style done. Grade 4 at the back, grade 5 in the middle and grade 1 at the front......it's his trusted 4-5-1.

Who cares?

About what?

About what Barnsley pay their manager in wages...

Who cares that you don't care? Just as relevant.

SOD 2nd Fav ?

I have heard there is another target (failed several times) who they hope to attract - but then it would not be a highly successful proven Manager would it ?

I've heard those as well, but accordingly they are now worried about appointing someone nobody knows much about due to the 'relative' failure of Keith Hill. But as I said previous, it comes back to money, which they don't have a lot of and things will probably take a turn for the worst next month.

SOD must be watching what happens at Wolves.  Their manager must be a dead man walking.

And what if Wolves are not interested in sod? Never understood why people constantly link him there just because he is a fan. It means nothing.

I thought somebody would pick me up on that, and I'm not surprised it was you!

It's all in the public domain though, so here's a link. You'll get the jist of it if I tell you a delayed court case commences next month;

Cool. Thank you ever so SM!

Sorry to be so predictable.....

Cheers

edit: bet you all a fiver that if the infamous three are found guilty Mr Cryne's illness won't get better for a very, very long time indeed. And to provide some sort of evidence of that, what's the odds on him then selling BFC?

Now who would buy that lot...?

BobG

Sorry! Another edit: Perhaps we could have a whip round? Raise a few quid, buy it up and then shut it down. Job done! Could dig a pit or summat where the pitch used to be.

If only Cryne had taken note of Mad Mick's business entrepreneur knowledge, ah well........

On the Plymouth forum apparently SOD has made it known he is not interested in their vacancy as he expects to join a championship club in the near future - make of that what you will. Keith Hill favourite for that job with Phil Brown 2nd apparently.

BobG,

Now you know I meant it as a compliment didn't you?   ;) ;)

There's a lot more to this than meets the eye but its not in the public domain. I can add though that the opportunities to sell Barnsley will be very few and far between. When they went bankrupt the last time they constructed the current asset register so as to make it very very difficult to strip. So much so that its made Oakwell a bit of a lemon.

Yes mate. I did :)

And oh. That must mean then that Mr Cryne is lumbered. Poor chap. Wonder what happens when his illness eventually gets the better of him?

Cheers

Bob
