I hope at least some of you took the 33/1 with betVictor yesterday!

Get in, pleased on all fronts, minimum disruption, proven manager and WELSH so Cotts can stay put!

SSN reporting it's until the end of the season. No doubt if Flynn takes us up, that will be extended.
Not so sure about that

Well done JR never was rocket science but continuity is clearly the key...

Flynn who is well liked and respected underpinned with Rob Jones who all the fans and players adore...

I've voiced my concerns earlier in the week regarding the Flynn/Jones option. But they get my full backing and there is no better way to ensure continuity.

I suppose I will start worrying about my concerns over this appointment come the summer when those concerns have their earliest opportunity to be realised.

It is the best thing we could have done. Not just the continuity in style etc but also he knows what the squad needs and has already said he has signings lined up.

This season is only ending one way.....cant wait for Brentford away.

Why not? If Flynn proves he can do the job then why shouldn't he be rewarded with a chance at managing us longer term?

To be honest mate....I wonder how much continuality this actually brings..Flynn has been here 5 minutes and as far as i know spent a lot of time away scouting and Jones is not a coach with much qualifications....I'm concerned the fans have forced the clubs hand here and whilst he has my full support i'm far far from convinced this was our best option....

Think we will still need to appoint another full time coach.

Well

If he's half as good as the last manager we had who was a shortarse midfielder who'd been captain of Leeds and his country...

Flynn said before the Stevenage game that he was at the training ground at least once a week when Dean was here, and already knows the players.

Not much then. Little, if any, input to training, to tactics or to player engagement.

If we go up I reckon the Board will be looking for a manager with Championship, and even  possibly Premiership  history. If Flynn n Jones were being looked at long term then the appointment would surely have been longer than till end of season.
Don't get me wrong they are the right appointment at this point in the season, in my opinion, just for continuity but I just wonder at longer term

No, but he'll probably know more about how things operate than an outsider coming in.

Precisely PT, plus he'll have an insight into potential transfers etc.

And he is an experienced manager.  He is as good a choice of anyone.  If we continue to perform under Flynn & Jones as we did last saturday, then we'll do very well...

Good choice for now, presumably none of the applicants could offer us more than we already have...........and would have cost a fair bit more. Like Wing Commander, I would have liked to see a quality Championship/Prem. manager appointed for next season but they both have my fullest backing.  :rtid:

I think it's a great appointment. I reckon his network of scouts will serve us well, and we have readymade song...  'The Mighty Flynn'

Wonder if Glynn could be tempted to come along as coach until such time as Flynn and Jones move on? That's be almost like the Anfield bootroom....
