Walsall Predictions
« on February 07, 2013, 10:16:20 am by Belle-Vue-Ghost »
Big game Saturday.  Need to get going again and put some pressure on the teams around us.  I think our home form may get better under Brian Flynn.

What we going for??

3-1 Rovers for me

Cotterill
Paynter
Brown

I tihnk it has a draw written all over it.

i didnt go to the game at bury and may get slaughtered here but seeing that Brown and Copps were our two up top didnt fill me with confidence. I much prefer Paynter and Hume.

I do hope they start against Walsall and maybe an apperance from Sinclair.

1-1 for me on saturday.

As long as it isn't a repeat of the poor performance in '07 when we lost 3-2, Coppinger missed that shocking penalty to earn a point, and Lewis Guy got sent off.

2-0 rovers brown and copps.

Put copps on the left wing and swap Hume for Bennett. Hume and brown have the best link up play with the strikers we've got

Draw for me too I'm afraid.

We haven't really had our bad spell this season yet. It'd be highly unusual to go through a whole season without one.

I remember that game like it was yesterday.  I was livid with Copps when he missed that penalty.  It was one of the poorest I've ever seen in my time watching Rovers

I think it will be a toughie. Walsall certainly no mugs and I think they will try to play football. They have a few young quick players, quick feet and quick thinking which undid us last week.

Be a blow that Hume still out and Syers sidelined. Creates a chance for Lee Fowler to stake his case alongside Keegan. For me, although I'd like to see Bennett rested with Copps, Cotterill and/or Woods take up the wide berth, I think enforced changes might save Bennett with Copps playing inside with Brown and Paynter up front.

Got a feeling of 1-1 tranmere will draw too Bournemouth will win so it's tighter at the top think we may now hit our bad patch sorry to say but it will only last four games then we will come back stronger

Listening to Flynn's interview, he regards Kyle as a potential match winner. We know he can be, but he's the League One Theo Walcott at the moment (although Walcott has improved).

Says Woods and Husband 'in contention' so as said, sounds like Bennett plays with Woods and Husband on the bench.

Well I hope we have our shooting boots on

I'm nervous about the game but I hope that they've got the bad performance out of their systems last week.

Walsall looked like cannon fodder on the opening day of the season but their recent results suggest a great improvement.

I wish I could. Will not feel confident if Copps ever steps up to take a penalty again after seeing that, and agree with BVG, it was the poorest I've seen at Rovers.

I missed that game as I was on a course which involved evening "homework." Usually if I miss a game, particularly a home one, we put on a five-star display, but this was clearly a good one to miss.

I seem to recall that buffoon Mike Jones (now a Premier League referee, ffs!) was "in charge" and did not take kindly to Lewis Guy's opinion of his officiating.

I'll go for a 2-1 win.  Is this the match featuring the Rob Jones day?  If so, think it will lift the team and along with the will to win after last week, think it will be a good result.  Fingers crossed anyhow!

For me, this is a massive game, if you look at some other fixtures tomorrow, then I think this is a must win game if we are going to go up via the automatic spots (which is what we'd all prefer surely?)

Bournemouth vs Portsmouth - Bournemouth are in unbelievable form and on SkyBet they are the favourites to win the league. Portsmouth are in obvious amounts of trouble, and you'd probably put your mortgage on Bournemouth winning.

Leyton Orient vs Tranmere Rovers - LO have hit a bit of form recently, and over the past month or so they have helped us out slightly with draws against MK Dons and Swindon. Tranmere obviously high flyers and have been all season, fortunatley for us they lost at home last Saturday. It wouldn't be a big surprise if LO won this game in their form, a draw would also be nice for us.

Swindon vs Hartlepool - Swindon are probably the best team I have seen us play against this season, although they are having a few off-field troubles, they are still 3rd in the league, two points behind us. Hartlepool are having an awful season, rock bottom, so again, you'd probably put your mortgage's on the home side winning.

Anyway, too cut a long stroy short, here's hoping for a 3-1 (Paynter, Copps and Cotts) win for the Rovers, with a sterling performance to go with it.

Hmmm worse for me as I'm out of work and simply can't afford a ticket to a big day. I'm pissed off owt that could go wrong is going wrong had to cancel our lass 50th birthday party a few weeks ago as her Dad is dying with cancer and even got stuck in that nightmare on the M62 last night with that accident. It took 5 1/2 hours to get back from Stockport after visiting him in hospital yesterday and my did the tears roll in the car. There's nothing like sitting in your car for that length of time giving the pair of us time to to focus on the negatives of the day/week/month time ahead.
Sorry folks got to be positive today about something ................Rovers to win 5-0

A draw wouldnt be the end of the world for me.  Just means we HAVE to win the game against MK on Tuesday.

If we pick up 4 points or more from out next 2 games I'll be very happy  :scarf:
