Big game for Keegan today
« on February 09, 2013, 07:31:04 am by Norfolk N Chance »
If he does what he does well breaking up play we have a chance.

Baxendale is in great form at the min and I can see us losing the battle in middle.

Personally I would have entered the loan market as I still see us very weak in this area.

With Syers AND Hume injured, we are definitely missing energy in crucial areas.
It will be interesting to see who plays today; whether we go 5 in midfield (Copps, Cotterill, Fowler, Keegan and Harper) with, say, Sinclair playing off the shoulder of their CB's....
Sounds defensive, but Copps/Cotterill give us a 4-3-3 in possession.

Only a thought, but I think/hope we'll see more of the ball this afternoon should Fowler play.

Then again, it could be Bill & Brown up top in a more conventional 4-4-2.

Damn shame that we let Baxendale slip through our fingers, one of those that needlessly we didn't fight to keep. I have a feeling we may pay for that lack of foresight today.

Are you watching Baxendale week in week out to give us this indication that he's going to boss the midfield today?!

Obvisouly not as other wise as well as good baxendale is playing and scoring he isn't playing centre midfield so don't think it is all down to keegan and after last week deffo start with fowler and would play copps or Bennett right up top with brown

Bax is nothing special. He's just got an eye for a goal.

Big game for all 11 players. They all are.  Every 3 points are vital, whoever the opposition is and whichever 11 start the game.  Keegs could play a blinder and we lose, or he could be mediocre in a comfortable Rovers win.

It's a team game remember....

Baxendale did f**k all. Don't see the fuss. I think people obsess over him just because he's from Donny.

Keegan getting chopped and having to come off changed the game for us today, for the worse. Neither fowler nor harper could break up the play and if Keegan could have stayed on then harper could have come off. I don't see why we play harper he's dire

I don't see what Harper offers either get someone in on loan. Harsh on Fowler he needs movement and nobody helped him at all.

I was very disappointed with Fowler. He spurned the easy option more than once then got caught in possession or gave the ball away. Hopefully he will get better. It might have been different had Keegan not got injured and he'd come on for Harper.

Yes, as Keegan would have got stuck in and helped out rather than f**king pointing about and watching the game pass him by as he did for their second. Bloody awful, Harper. Arf.

Well I'm glad to hear some support for Keegan who does what he does well and has been improving.

I have to say on the way to the game when I heard Harper's name on the team sheet I got a nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach having hoped Fowler would start alongside Keegan.

Just made no sense to me at all and seemed like a backward step to the piss poor midfield we had earlier in the season before Syers brought some better balance. Fowler plays a full half ahead of Harper last week, plays well and gets dropped???

Old Harpo didn't let me down and up against a bright young Walsall midfield, the game changed when Keegan came off and they made a positive substitution of their own.

We still have a number of Keegan moaners who comment when a pass goes astray but conveniently forget to clap or praise when he does the good stuff.

Baxendale did nothing? He did more than our midfield. Having saiid that, I did more than our midfield and I was sat in the stand.
Bang on Norfolk, we need a couple of midfielders on loan, soon!
