Team For Saturday
« on March 20, 2013, 01:29:55 pm by BigKeif »
What do you all think the team will be for Saturday? here's mine...

                                                Woods

        Quinn              McCombe             Jones(C)            Spurr

                                            Lundstram

        Cotterill                                                                 Husband

                                            Coppinger

                                 Brown                  Hume

Subs;
Sullivan
Syers
Paynter
Wilson
Wakefield
Bennett
Griffin

I could be wrong but a reckon this could be the team to play on Saturday and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't be too disappointed if it is. Also think it is too much for Syers to start but I think he will be on the bench for this one and make an appearance at some point. What is everyone else's views?  :rtid:  :scarf:

I doubt Hume or Lundstram will start. Don't think they're fit enough.
I nearly said the 'H' word then FFS! Or even the 'W' one!!!

Hopefully they will be fit then but if not then you reckon Syers will start?

Syers isn't fit either sadly. I still hope that Lundstram manages to get fit again for the weekend though.

Am sure I have heard or seen somewhere that there is a 50/50 chance Syers making it Saturday.  :s Could have just dreamt it tho  :headbang: but agreed I hope Lundstram is fit.

Personally think this could be a game for bennet to shine in, running down the wing whipping low crosses in, infront of 2200 rovers fans! Would remind me abit of a certain Michael Mcindoe..

That's a good shout that one but who would you drop for him? Husband as been getting vital goals whilst even tho Cotts hasn't been putting ball in back of net recently, he's still been getting the assists.

Play him off either Paynter or Brown? Might be a good idea that and could quite possibly bring best out of him. Let's not forget when he was playing bad he was playing out on left instead of through the center.

If Lundstram/Syers are out, I'd put pretty much anyone in CM over Harper/Wilson.

Husband, Griffin, Middleton, Uros Predic..... ANYONE!

A wheelie bin to be fair is more mobile than Harper and Wilson?

Put Husband, Griffin, Middleton and Uros Predic in a wheelie bin and it'd still be preferable.

If not,  Griffin would be my choice. At least he tackles.

I said this on another thread but if Lundstram isn't fit why not stick Hume in there.  Depends how we want to play I guess.  Remember Griffin only played one half in CM against MK Dons so hes unproven as yet.  You know with Hume he'll really graft in there, be a pest and break up play.

If Lundstram and Hume aren't fit, I would switch with Syers and Paynter respectively.

Also I would have Sully in goal.

Given that we are going to be understrength in midfield I'd go for:

Woods
Quinn McCombe Jones Spurr
Cotterill Griffin Lundstram or Wilson Coppinger
Hume
Brown

If Hume not fit to start then Coppinger "in the hole" and Husband on the left.
