It happened in 1981 at Mansfield although it was the penultimate rather the last game of the season.

Was it 1975 or 1976 Brian? Whichever it was, a county cricket match at Buxton was snowed off. Remember it well. Especially odd as those two years were the hottest I've ever experienced in this country.

1975 Bob. The blokes from Buxton that I work with remind me every time I complain about it being cold.
The Ancients imagined hell as being cold. In which case, Buxton is f**king Hell.
