Thought the lad Duffy, had a great game today for them, that's even without his cracking goal, Go on Brian speak to Sir John, you know it makes sense ! Would be a cracking signing for us ! Thoughts ?

Ran the show 2nd half for them. Was the only player they had who looked L1 standard to be honest, along with that central midfielder (was it Ryan? Not sure).

Well we seem to have a liking for ex Scunny players. May be should be looking at Grant McCann or David Perkins if dingles drop.

Mind you. If I may indulge by looking ahead optimistically, I think the club could do a lot worse by tempting one or two of these three amigos back.....Paul Green, Richie Wellens, Billy Sharp.

If you could only have one of the above three, who would it be?

Billy. Syers can do the Greeny job, and Wellens is getting on a bit now.

Billy Sharp.
I think Wellens is past his best now and Greeny has missed a lot of games through injury this season

Agree that Duffy was very good.  He would flourish in our side.

Get him in on loan until the end of the season with a deal to buy waiting in the wings (a la Furman)

Duffy is a player I didn't know of but right from the off it was easy to see he was their best player by a country mile.  Flynn for me is lacking in tactical know how but I'm pretty sure that as a scout Duffy didn't go unnoticed.

In what way is he lacking in tactical know how? He's been involved in professional football all his adult life and has managed the Wales under 21 team that included players now people are wishing were English!

I just don't get how people think they can know more than a fella who has been there, done the job and got the teeshirt.

I know where you are coming from, but with age judgement fails.

Haha speak for yourself! I'm sure the Catholics don't agree, the older the better for them, closer to God I suppose? He isn't dribbling into a bib quite yet!

He'd be my number one transfer target if I'm honest, very impressed.

Could be a Charlie Adam in the sense that the lads around him are w**k and he's shining because of it.

That and we didn't really have a midfielder nibbling at him so he had time and space to do what he could and did.

Plenty tried to get the ball of him but he just kept rolling it out of the way of all challenges calm as u like. No mistake, the lad can play!

He's decent that's for sure. Can't judge him on one game though.
