So there I was this afternoon, in a local boozer after taking the bairn a out sledging. Me on me seventh Becks. Mrs Stubbs-Tears using a knitting needle to raddle ten bob bits out the pool table. The bairns, bless em, jemmying the johnny machine off the shithouse wall and chucking piss bombs round the boozer.

Any road, secure in the knowledge that we would beat the SKitsons, I barely once looked up from The Times crossword at the ale-stained big screen showing Sky Sports News. And the one time I did, it said:
