There's someone else we need to thank too. I just remembered. Jonathan Douglas. He was playing for Leeds at Wembley as well as at Griffin Park. He's clearly a Rovers lucky mascot.

Thank you Jonathan.

BobG

And he skied presentable chances over the bar against us in both matches.

Thank you Jonathan!

Can we have the bar as a memento in The BV bar? Or at least a blown up photo of it, bet it's still shaking

Not such a bad idea. I'm sure Brentford would be glad to get rid of it!

Great idea .... On Saturday night I got thrown out of my Local for saying "I'm just going to hit the Bar" before every round

Maybe that's it ... we could have a Hit the Bar Bar somewhere ?

and the dirty GIT skied Richie Wellens at Wembley as well when RW was possibly carrying an Injury

The tackle was in about Row 4 of the Stand but Douglas still got it in

Mickey Walker said on Radio he was glad Douglas was playing as he was "ineffective" and was having a very poor game

Perhaps instead of having the Stoneacre challenge ,it could be that people have to hit the bar from the penalty spot, sponsors would love it,call it the Trotta challenge, and hopefully we draw Brentford at home in either the F A Cup or League Cup

Could you imagine with all this new goal line technology proposed, if the referee had stopped the game to decide whether the ball had crossed the line when bouncing down off the crossbar. It dosnt bear thinking about. Leave well alone.

Not really. Under the proposed legislation that is coming into the game, the referee would've known within moments if the ball had crossed the line or not. It won't ever require the game being stopped if the ball hasn't gone over the line, the referee will merely wave play on.
