I have always liked Warnock and I reckon he tells it like it is,some people don't like him for that but I do.Only thing I would not like if he was our next manager would be the fact his family is down south and it is said he only takes training etc 2 or 3 days a week.Also,Did'nt JR say he was looking for an ambitious Younger manager?Maybe with JR knowing Warnock,he has asked him to say he's interested just to throw a red herring in to keep people of the scent of his real target/targets?Or even dare I say it,alter the odds in the next manager betting.

There's a problem with this, warnock is a good, proven manager, no question. The issue I would have is that an appointment like this would purely be yet another stop gap. It certainly wouldn't scream of long term vision.

Problem is that any young manager doing well with us is likely to be snapped up by a bigger fish so we're always going to have a stop gap to some extent

Like other posters have said my worry is his commitment, should we be doing ok (or even struggling) should a job come available he'll be off like a shot.  The guy would desert his Mother if he saw a bigger or richer Mother some place else   

Is that what we want for our club, I'm not sure

I would have him on a years contract to steady the ship and get Flynn to get some youngsters in so we can get a manager next season for the long term who will rebuild us as a club not just the team, like Saunders tried to do before he fecked off.

Yep,It's easy to say now but I don't think that was good for all concerned in the end.I think thats why the Saunders move to Wolves was so quick and easy,JR had learned a lesson with SOD.Alot of fans say Deano left us with no loyalty for the first bigger job coming along,but I do not think it was that cut n dried.
