Wembley today
« on May 19, 2013, 09:33:05 am by Hounslowrover »
Just a few weeks ago, as I stood up for the penalty at Brentford with my Bees supporting mates, I said well it looks like the play offs again for us.  Then the miss, goal and celebrations, followed by a few beers in the pub.
Today I'm off to Wembley again with my mates, and season ticket holding son and stepson, to cheer on Brentford (though Hayter and Webster on Yeovil team).  To think that since Trotta's miss, Brentford have not missed one of their six penalties - thank god he was headstrong enough to push others aside.
By the way I have had to warn my mates that this season I have seen just two draws and two losses (you can work out who against!) for Brentford this season, but would love them to get promoted.
God, I'll miss football this summer.

I'm split on today good day out in London if brentford win but surely a better chance of us stopping up if Yeovil go up although no doubt they would take their usual points off us

Bet you were popular in the pub! Cant imagine me having a few round Bramall Lane if that had happened there, incidentally used to live in Hounslow, excellent Fullers round there !

The pub was well away from the ground, near where I live.  Besides I had my Bees mates to protect me!!!

I'd like Yeovil to win - just in case Rosler is on our Radar! LOL

Oh yeah and Hayts and Big Bird play for them now too!

Come on the Glovers

Yeovil for me too. And also hoping Rosler is the one we have to wait for.

It's a tough one but I think I want Yeovil because I think we could come above them next season, I found Brentford fans to be arrogant bas**rds a few weeks ago and in case Rosler is the manager we are waiting for. The only reason I would want Brentford to go up is because its a good away day.

I want Yeovil to win today.  Why......?  Cos we have a history with them, I feel a connection even though we rarely beat them.  I also want it for Hayts and Webster.

Come on the hoops!

Seems like none of them with the manager to be announced tomorrow anyway.

Difficult one. In some ways I'd like Yeovil to win for James Hayter, but then I remember what a dreadful record we have against them. Also did feel a bit for Brentford on that last day and we have almost the opposite record against them. Four or six points could make all the difference.

The fact that (for me anyway) Brentford represents a good day out and Yeovil is a hell of a trek makes me go (just) for the Bees today.

Gary Johnson could take Yeovil up and also leave in the summer anyway.
He's out of contract at Huish Park.

To be honest, if I was Kevin McCabe, I'd be looking at someone like him (given that it could be his 2nd promotion out of League 1 today) to sort things out at the Lane.

No connections with Brenftord other than the obvious and like us, Yeovil are examples of what can be done if you run a club well on limited resources, I would like them to enjoy their day in the sun. Hayter will not be affected by the occasion and that could be telling.

Sneaky feeling Brentford will be awarded yet another penalty but Yeovil to win 2-1.

What a strike by Paddy Madden. 1-0 to Yeovil after 6 minutes. I hope they do it!

If Yeovil make it, next season they will become the first team we will have played against in the League at 4 different levels....

I was of the same mid re Rosler but based on todays noises we might be being optimistic. Don't mind who wins, both teams impressed me this season, certainly more so than Sheff Utd and Swindon.
