In the full 10 minute interview on player, he comes across well, states what he wants from the players and generally shows an air of confidence. Not my choice of Manager, but we have him now and we need to get behind him and give him every chance, reading between the lines, I reckon he`s already turned Sheff Utd down for us, that should piss the massive blunts off no end :)

I listened to it a wee while ago. Have to say that I was quietly impressed. Appreciate that he's going to say the right things, but it appears that he wanted this job above others and he has a plan. Sounded good to me.

Key points from the full 10 minutes interview of player
  • "I'm a bit of an Idiot on the touchline"
  • Was consulted about the retained list during the interview
  • Had approaches from other clubs within the last couple of weeks, didn't entertain them
  • Not spoken to Bryan Flynn or Rob Jones as of yet - but will tonight
  • "I'm a positive guy, I don't let any negativity get to me when it comes to football"
  • Him and John Ryan are a bit daft
  • Horton will not be spoken to until after the current staff
  • "I'm working tonight"
  • Got a very long list of players (god knows what happens when he combines it with Flynn's it bill be bigger than Sheff United)
  • Tough Job at Oldham but learned a lot, he was forced to resign because his staff were taken from under him
  • Message to supporters: Going to give us a hard working team working for the badge

He could just be talking to talk, we'll have to wait and see but he does come across well.

The most important thing for me was him talking of Rob Jones and how important he realises he is to this club on and off the pitch. When we brought Flynn in the board said it was for 'continuity'. I get the feeling Dickov could well be that again and hopefully even more successful.

Never heard him speak before but I can see why he interviews well: positive; well-spoken (sounds like Moyes, no surprise); bright, no hesitation in answering questions; respectful of the club and fans alike, and previous club.

General all round nice fella. Am really excited now, says he wants us to play football whilst players are still giving their all, what a relief!

He's already made plans for pre-season, wanted this job above all others and has players lined up.

I have a nice feeling about this appointment, despite losing a tenner on Larry, roll on next season.

The down side is if we do as well as he talks he'll be off mid-season! To Leeds probably.

Listened to him and positive, as I expected. Sounds like he has players lined up just waiting for the nod.

I hope he and Flynn can get a good relationship going. Much talk about Horton coming in also but you just hope we won't have a case of too many cooks.

Very good interview....seems like he wants Jones to concentrate on playing for as long as he can. Very respectful to all staff here already.

Just listened to it now.  Excellent first interview.  Comes across very well and I can see why he got the job.  I think he'll be good for us and we've got the right man.  Level headed, confident, sounds as though he could put an arm round you if you need confidence or just as easily kick you up the arse

Overall - very happy indeed  :scarf:

Yes, I like his attitude, it won't do us any harm to have someone on the sideline that can go a little mad sometimes either.

I will wait patiently to see the first signing(s) he makes and I think then we will know the direction he's heading with us. :scarf:
