Does anyone know or own a burger van that may be able to attend a football tournament at armthorpe rovers on Sunday 30th June ? Any help appreciated thanks Neil  :rtid:

I recall the days or nights round town and There was a number Of chaps from said vans knocking up yum yum scran for the donny  pissheads

Amazing what you Will eat When the ale munchies kick in.

Used to be a Chap outside yorkshire rose and one outside camelots Aswell as billy pauls if iam correct?

Was a good spot thou fella.

I recall Been in Their one night There was an  ira bomb scare as Police came in to Get all and sundry out.

Now bear in mind Its a bomb scare and you still had fcukwits forming a que to had their tickets back in for Their coats.

I was gobsmacked as i shot out the front doors.

Used to love Camelots, was never the same once the bar moved from the middle though.

Never seen a pub get quite as heaving on a weekend, a bit like Biscuits Billy's on certain nights now, but absolutely massive in comparison...

You said that camelots was never the same after bar got moved from the middle?

From what i recall When it 1st Opened the bar was not in the middle,as bar was moved into the middle some years after it 1st Opened?

Different eras Cocker, I started supping in there mid eighties, remember that central oval shaped bar that eventually moved to the back wall.

All the supping I did back in those days might have led to a little confusion / memory loss over the years though...

No, he had a hot dog stall near the old Toad brewery.  His catchphrase was "best 'dogs in Yorkshire". Suffered with piles I recall.
