A good idea at face value. (Didn't that Oldham chap say he likes to do this?)

I'm not entirely sure why it needs to be a ticket only event though. Seems overly officious.

Very good idea to have, think it shows that he wants to be given a chance and wants fans to get behind him

Probably so they can set up the room correctly, make decisions on what catering to put on etc.

The room they use in the East stand has a capacity of about 500 if memory serves me right. Obviously fire regulations come into play but I would suspect they may have to move chairs around, set it up properly and maybe allow for some standing areas etc. I don't think you have to be on the database but wouldn't all Rovers supporters be on it anyway?

I've just booked my ticket, looking forward to seeing what he and Gavin have to say about the upcoming season.

Anyone who has doubts about Dickov (who is able to attend obviously) should definitely go, see if those fears can be allayed.

He certainly talks a good game but that's easy. The only way to allay any fears is through positive results (with an element of perfomances in there too).

I remember attending several of these events with Sammy Chung at The Park Hotel, and possibly The Lonsdale if memory serves me right.

Also remember R********n and W****r being there.

From what I remember Sammy Chung always came across well and left me feeling quite enthused. If only I'd realised at the time exactly what was really going on...
