In my opinion and I accept I may be in a minority here but I dont think that that both Mccombe and Jones can play at the championship level

And I agree with Donny baz rover that Quinn and spurr would do better as well as freeing up husband to play left back

I would much rather us get natural centre halves in rather than putting Spurr and Quinn in there, it's okay for the occasional cover but for long term I think keep players like them in their preferred position.

This. We should not be saying let's put our full backs in the middle unless it is a last resort. We need proven, quality centre backs. Moving Jimmy O'Connor all around the back four pretty much ruined him as a good player. I don't want to see us do that again. Spurr and Quinn should both be starting at full back, not in the middle.

Difference is though, didn't Spurr actually start off as a center half and then get moved to full back because they needed cover?

I don't know if he started off as a centre half when he was younger but he said in an interview a while back that full back is his best and preferred position so keep him there in my opinion.

Spurr was a CB as he came through the SW youth teams, and only went to LB when they had injuries in the first team.  A classic case of taking your opportunity.
