First Six Games
« on June 08, 2013, 12:52:35 pm by DonnyOwl »
I'm a Wednesday fan (no abuse please haha) and on Owlstalk I saw a thread about who we'd want in the first six games. I was going to say Rovers away then realised we haven't even scored at the Keepmoat! Surely you would want us early on with such a good record but wanted to see what you think?

I think a good first six for you would be: Yeovil, Wigan, Wednesday, Brighton, Charlton and Ipswich. That's obviously a realistic one since there is a very small chance of getting all the bottom end teams in the first six

Anyway, looking forward to next season's battles against you and always think "We could be Sheffield United" :) WTID

I hope those aren't our first six. Most of them are pretty dull.

Surely nobody ever looks forward to finding out when they are playing Charlton or Ipswich. Norwich aside anyway.

If you get us in the first six, that will make up for the others, especially if it's at Hillsborough because it will be a great atmosphere. Keepmoat wouldn't be that bad though because we'll sell out as well

I would like to be at home. Teams coming up from League One (especially as Champions) have really come out all guns blazing in the first few games. Yet for some reason we always seem to have a slow start to the season, I hope we break the habit this season.

Surely we'll be away at one of the relegated Prem teams? Or do the Champs get a home game against the same sort of oppos instead? Me? I'd like the 6 worst teams in the division first up. Perhaps we can get some confidence going!

So that's Barnsley, Barnsley, Barnsley, Barnsley, Barnsley and Barnsley then.

Cheers

Don't want Yeovil or Bournemouth. Newly promoted teams always start well. Not Reading either, they are i suppose the bogey side of our championship days
