In Rovers We Trust – Concourse Update
Fri 14 Jun 2013

As part of the In Rovers We Trust project, Doncaster Rovers have been promising fans a revitalised food and drink catering option on the concourses.
Yesterday following a succession of meetings between club representatives and Lindley catering team, the finalised plan was put in place.  Below are some of the highlights;-

1) Alcoholic beverages
The club can confirm that next year the main alcoholic drinks being served in the concourses will be;
Boddington Bitter - £2.90
Becks - £2.90
Budweiser - £3.30
Fans will note a reduction in the price of beer to less than £3 per pint, this has been agreed to by Lindley following detailed consultation with the club.

2) New kiosks
The club can also confirm the new kiosks being introduced by Lindley Group next season will be;

Flaming Good Burger
Frank’s Original New York Street Dogs
The Pie Factory
Cracklings
Dominos

3) Belle Vue Bar
As part of the concourse refurbishments a series of changes will also take place in the Belle Vue Bar, this will include increased service  points in order to improve the speed of service within the bar and an improved food offering.  In addition the small wall separating the different parts of the bar will be removed to increase capacity within the Belle Vue Bar.

4) Naming of Bars
Each kiosk facility will be personalised and named after a Rovers player or historic moment.  It will be up to fans to suggest and vote for the names of the kiosks.

Summary
During the next few weeks the physical changes to the concourses will begin and the club will keep fans updated with the developments through the official website.  The club wish to thank fans for all their feedback and Lindley for supporting the In Rovers We Trust project.  By acknowledging the feedback of the fans and implementing their suggested changes the club are confident that the catering provision provided next year will be one of the best within the Championship.

excellant news even more pleasing is the price for a beer has dropped and is pretty much on par with local pubs well done all involved little steps like this in fan engagement and detail only serves to do the club well. Hope they still do some sort of kids box as they are ideal and were reasonable value

Wonder if you will still be able to get two bottles of carlsberg for a fiver? All looks very impressive! Can see slices of pizza selling well with younger fans

The original price suggested for beer was going to be £3.50. But Gavin and Shaun successfully talked it down to the price you now see, so well done to them.

As far as I'm aware Shaun has insisted on the kids boxes.

The details you currently see are the tip of the iceberg and as we move to the start of the season we, as Rovers fans, will finally see the plans implemented and no doubt will be happy to use those facilities.

Will the bottle bars 'fast serving' still be used? If so, will we ever actually see them in operation!!?

Very good especially the bar prices.  Good to see the proactive steps that the club are taking, I might send them one quick e-mail though, no mention of any cider being available?

Well done to all involved. I'm looking forward to seeing it all in place. Although Becks would not be my first choice, that is somewhat offset by the reduction in price. The choice of food sounds much better and let's hope they are reasonably priced as well.

Also great news that the waiting time is being addressed as I hope the queuing systems on the concourses will be tinkered with, particularly on the West Stand where the queues block access to the bogs etc.

All very good positive stuff. Keep spreading the word to those who may have lost touch with the goings on at the KM.

Boddingtons?   Awful tasting flavoured water. They should be giving that away for free. £2.90 is daylight robbery, and to mention that they were talked down from selling it for £3.50 must have been easy for Gavin.

Good effort chaps, the price of beer in the ground has always been instrumental in our group seeking beverages elsewhere

£2.90 is the going rate, it's not 1995! Also, cheaper than most grounds

That was my first thought. Pity if we're not getting it - I would've been prepared to shift my ST to whichever stand it was in. Coffeeaholic

The bottle size has been increased from 330ml to 550ml, so the price has increased in line with that, from £2.50 to £3.50
