Apparently Dagenham are furious about this poll.

They were already irked that the Club had embraced the hash-tag #drfc, but this Tierney's Tavern malarkey has pushed them right to the brink.

I'm sure the two Alick Jeffrey options will be collated under the one that comes top of those two.

Rather than the Brentford Cross Bar, we could use, Sulli's Cross Bar. I think he did more than a bit there in making that happen. But... the positive take is Copps' Tap Inn, that'll do for me :)

f**k me, I can't believe how entitled some folk on here are. As BFYP says, fan engagement doesn't mean "give you everything and let you run the place". The club doesn't want to make reference to a Brentford player missing a penalty, can you honestly not see how that would piss off some of the Brentford fans? It's easy to be philosophical about it and say "that's football" when it went our way but I guarantee you if some other club did something similar about our misfortune there'd be uproar on here.

Like many things in life, this is a privilege, not a right. As much as we like to think it is, it's not "our" club and just because the club doesn't bend over backwards to accommodate your every whim when they don't think it's appropriate to do so, doesn't mean there's some cloak-and-dagger conspiracy shit going off. The club is doing a damn sight more than most others would ever do as it is.

Anyway, Brentford Cross Bar isn't as good as Copps' Tap Inn - and that's pretty much the same moment, but with a positive slant on it.

I think a straightforward "John Ryan Bar" ought to be on there

If you had 'brentford cross bar' as the name it would be later rather Than sooner that after seeing the name 'Brentford' would start to wear off.

How would you all feal if rovers ever got stuffed 0-6
At KMS to brentford ipswich style?you not be in a rush to hit the 'brentford cross bar' to drowned yer frustrations.

Call it

'This Bar None'

Totally agree - a positive slant would be better. I said from the outset something like "The Hit the Bar Bar" or "Need a Pint ? Hit the Bar" would do the job just as well and not demean the opposition

The older ones on here will remember Liverpool having a Civic Reception after winning the Champions League and a few beers had been drunk when Captain Emlyn Hughes blurted out "I want you all to sing Liverpool are MAGIC Everton are TRAGIC" and it was cringeworthy and not needed and he got panned

On a slightly different note - I have long had the belief that whilst we revere Franny Tierney for that goal and James Hayter for his goal at Wembley I always feel sorry for the other Players who were part of the Team

Andy Warrington made saves at Stoke and Dave Morley would have been "The Franny Tierney" figure if it had stayed 2-1 to us     ,,,,and therefore I would always like to remember them ALL by calling a Bar the Britannia 03 Bar or the Wembley 08 Bar rather than devote them to the individuals

Err yes. The signs are up at all the outlets. Admittedly they are of a slightly temporary nature but it was the quickest and easiest way forward. Check them out on Saturday.

As i can't get in all the stands it would have been good to have seen an announcement about the winning names etc? Unless i missed that one?

I haven't seen anything in the South Stand, the bar there is called "ice bar" or something like that.

You must have missed that as well because we had a poll running on here for quite some time. The top 10, or 12, (can't remember now) were passed on to the club.

It is, but there will be a little "bus stop" sign above it with the new name. Hopefully they are going to do a proper branding job at some point

If someone has asked on here what the names are is it really that difficult to tell them?

If someone has asked on here what the names are is it really that difficult to tell them?

If I can find them I would. But if you look at the poll on here you'll see the ones that were leading the field.

We took those and sat down with the club and decided which ones needed to go where. However this was some months ago now and the email is lost amongst the many thousands that go through my email system.

Fair enough, but as something that was part of the fan engagement scheme I think more should have been done to publish the results or at least have some answers when the questions are asked.

Email the club and make that point I'm sure they'll happily respond.  I also don't know them all but you could have a bit of fun and try visit them all?

Bit odd this int it? Big hooha about engaging with fans, then when fans ask who won they get told "don't know, ask the club".

Hi,

This still doesn't answer my question? Which bars have been given the names?

A better answer may have been:

West Stand
Copps Tap Inn
The Lucky Pint

South Stand

etc etc etc

Can we get this info???

Donnyplant,

That wasn't your question. You asked which were the winning names and we provided you with that. I'll go back to the club and ask which ones are where, it may have changed since we last discussed it, although  I can't see any reason why.
