Even better. We have a strike partnership of Jones and Khumalo - whodathunk?

Job done?

I will be interested to hear comments on performance.  A win is still a win though :)

perfomance was good at times but if i may say a bit like under SOD lots of passing not a lot happening in final third. At other times it was a bit flat though warbara was excellant

Real concern for me is a lack of cutting edge in attack. For all the good positions we got into, we didn't have that many efforts on goal, and when we did, we weren't clinical at all.

Don't want to sound like a doom and gloom merchant, but on the basis of the first two games, I can't see how we're going to score enough goals with the current personnel.

Poor performance tonight after a bright start, Rochdale were the better side second half & must be gutted they lost the game, even though we did create the better chances. Coppinger could have had a hat trick had it not been for the Dale keeper. Furman & Wellens put a shift in & needed to as Rochdale played the ball about well & kept it far better than us second half, getting behind us on a few occasions. Rovers on the other hand were lacklustre & looked jaded in the final 20 minutes & devoid of ideas. Coppinger was the pick of the 3 playing behind Brown, Cotterel was quiet while Duffy was as poor tonight as he was good on Saturday. On the plus side, Wabarra looked very impressive, & hopefully we can keep hold of him  for longer than a month.

Kudos to Furman for stopping a ball on the goal line in the first half.

Agree with that. What happened to Dickov saying we would be able to play for 95 minutes. :( Turnbull looked calmer today compared to Saturday, looks a quality keeper.

Apologies about losing commentary for a short while. In the end there wasn't a problem between us and the listeners! It was the provider who thought we did so decided to call us on commentary then for some reason we got commentary of the Rotherham/Wednesday's game through our box! So turned it off and on again. As you do.

As for the game, it's a weird one. I thought they were going to nick it in the second half, they had some good chances but lacked something upfront (Where've we heard that before). Luckily, possibly our worst player on the night delivered his piece of magic with a fantastic ball in for Khumalo to score. We were good in parts but bad in others. Team needs to gel more.

I thought Wabara was quite impressive though until he got a bit tired.
