Is 50 old?
« on August 14, 2013, 10:36:43 am by Yargo »
Certainly seems it to me. Sent cv loads and barely get an answer, and enquiries i do get one of the first questions is whats your date of birth and 19/04/1963 seems to be the killer. applied to work at BT (the test for that is quite hard believe it or not,try it),think it was meant to weed out people my age, made it to interview and got given bullshit questions  by ONE person that seemed were meant to disqualify me as the answers could've been interpreted anyway whatever, still not giving up, hoping to hear from Amazon having completed all their tests, successful in that and multigame ticket will be bought along with VSC membership. Anyway things aint what they used to be,the coppers are getting younger and music nowadays is shyte

50 is certainly NOT old

Have to take you to task a bit about the music cos in general they are still covering the same songs we grew up with again and again .... and look at the dinosaurs still (ahem) entertaining people Stones Sprinsteen etc etc

Anyway keep plugging on with the job search and in a few years you will be able to get a Senior Season Ticket for the price of a Multi Game Ticket !

Cheers DW

Not as old as it looked when I was young, I'll let you know next year when I turn it...

You know time is passing too fast when someone in their late sixties dies and you find yourself saying.. 'they were no age really..' lol.

Apparently 50 is the new 40...and 40 is the new 30...and 30 is the new 20, so you're just a spring chicken!

Yes. It's well old.

You can stop drooling now ;)

I was told that job applications from people over a certain age are put to one side and the younger applicants considered first. If the younger ones don't meet requirements the older ones are considered.

Better not apply for the job of idle b*****d then as there would be no way any oldies would get a look in
