Talking of graffiti, when I worra lad growing up in Balby we had "FREE FRANK COOK" daubed every where.

Going back even further (early 80s) in Retford I remember being able to buy my Dad cigars from the newsagents, couldn't do that now.

The newsagent would have been in Cannon Square, next to the Olde Sun ,it was called Bowskills you could buy cigarettes in singles, fireworks, and out of date sweets and chocs whilst wearing a school uniform

White dog shit.

Community spirit, where has that gone. One big childhood memory is that in summer time everyone's front door was always open and grown ups and kids just came and went as they pleased.

Smell of finny haddock at Denaby market. Smell of fetid unwashed bodies in Maces in Denaby. Coffee and cream buses. Them little cardboard train tickets at Cunny station. Vulcan bombers taking off.

Those big, big wide streets. Those useless MPs.

Spot on, Oslo.

I remember going to see Jaws 2 one saturday morning with my mates at the ABC, and forgetting I needed to keep 2p for the bus home.  Spent every penny on a Westlers Hot Dog.  Luckily the bus driver let me off paying.

Think the original Angies was in Scot Lane. That guy must have made a fortune, he was the first guy in Donny to hire out videos. I used to rent about a dozen a week and it was always packed out when I went in.

There's a retro cock & balls on a bus stop in Harworth. A steady 6/10. Lacking in pubes and not a drop of jizz in sight but nevertheless a welcome piece of public art.
