M Reed Scab in several locations in Thorne lasted for years and if it was removed always came back, as a a kid my favourite was 130mph and a date on a bridge near selby, when 130 was really fast for a production car

It was the speed a lad from Moorends came off his bike in that dip under the bridge, (which is not there now). He lived.

That didn't really apply to us round here Oslo, with RAF Finningley being the base for the Country's first response nuclear detergent, we would have been vaporised in seconds

b*llocks to that Filo - according to some of those films, hiding under a kitchen table/mattress combo with a fortnights worth of tinned food and bottles of pop or water, would mean survival ;)

They never said where to go for a dump though!

Remember getting issued with fluorescent gear for the WALK to school, for life of me can't Romberg if we experimented with putting clock back or it was 3 day week. Anyway it made the walk to Waverley Juniors interesting. By the way of a playground the school had a redundant old traction engine, complete with rusty sharp bits, oh happy days and a fine way to find out that sharp metal and following off things hurt, so don't do it again

Looks like something from a back street dildo factory.... pmsl.

I remember two programmes that scared the bejebbies out of me when I was a kid. One was about these kids that went through a hole a fence and was really scary, the other was the one about the moving stones. Can't remember much about them, even then if it was creepy I would avoid like the plague.lol.

The same Oslo part of growing up in Balby
Was also a veg wagon looked like a WW2 cast off

I moved from Balby just over 2 years ago and confirm the Veg wagon was still going round prior to me moving
Believe it or not I used to work on the same veg wagon in the 50s when I was 14 all day sat for 6 bob, When I got a pay rise up to 8 bob (40p) I thought I had got Littlewoods pools up !

That's it yup Stu.. the other one I was thinking of was Timeslip. that really scared me as a little one, took me ages to find it. I feel a little more absolved for being a drippy child as it looks like I was only 6-7 at the time..lol..

Check this out, it's fun to see how many you remember...

Algy Pug was allegedly a paedofile, Bill Badger was a renowned wife beater, Tiger Lily was a prostitute, Podgy Pig was homosexual, Edward Trunk was associated with the Italian Mafia and Raggity was known as a regular drug taker. Was it any of those Oslo ? ;-)
