Not very good, Mecheda should have been sent off, Copps booked for getting to the ball first in a 50/50, and stopping the game every time a Burnley player went down when we were on the attack!

Very inconsistent in dealing with injured players- see under Macheda and then Ings a few minutes later. I wonder what would have happened if Jones had gone down holding his leg (or head!) rather than trying to soldier on and giving away a penalty.

Got the pen and the Macheda booking (late, but not malicious IMO) right but should not have booked Coppinger for what was a 50/50 challenge. I think he was conned by the antics of Trippier who got up without a mark on him.

As I saw it Coppinger was up in the air when Trippier hit him. I thought that we might have even
Got the free kick ourselves.
He did seem very one sided with regards to stopping the game. Some refs might also have given penalties for handball, they might have been a bit harsh but they do get given.
He also missed a blatant handball by them in the first half when they were breaking forward.

yet another biased ref. we should have had a free kick seconds before the penalty. dealt out more cards than a blackjack dealer and let burnley have more divers than the olympics.

Simply conned by burnley ballerinas doing their dying swan acts every time we looked like breaking - not good enough! And yes, we should have had a free kick just before the penalty - we would have been lucky to get a point, but without the penalty (which was a blatant pen but see above re free kick!) we wouldn't have been chasing for an equaliser and may have got a point? Goals change games!  :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
